The Hovercontrol 412 was a large project in terms of time, effort, and information resources. It was accomplished for the benefit of Hovercontrol.com and its membership. The goal of the project was to create a twin turbine helicopter in Microsoft Flight Simulator with sensitive flight dynamics and realistic by-the-checklist startup and shutdown operations. This project was the result of nearly 2 years effort, and several 412EP and other technical resources within the professional helicopter industry.

This helicopter project is one of the best examples of efficient, but asthetic modeling for helicopters in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It is simply a beautiful and well performing example of the simulator's capabilities. This free release from the Nemeth Bros. and Batki Zoltan is one of the hidden gems of helicopter flight simulation for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The MD500E and D models from this team are excellently modeled, and very enjoyable to fly.

Suprising many, Owen Hewitt released what would become one of the most widely popular helicopter downloads for Microsoft Flight Simulator. A clean representation of the Bell 206 Jet Ranger. According to Owen, the goal of the project was to alleviate some of the problems associated with the default Jet Ranger included with Microsoft Flight Simulator. His Jet Rangers have been repainted now countless times, and featured as the base model on Dodosim Advanced products.

The Hovercontrol Firehawk project was a follow-up to the popular Hovercontrol Blackhawk/Seakhawk project. It borrowed some of the components and animations that had originally been brought together on the Hovercontrol Erickson Aircrane project. While the modifications to the Blackhawk model and configuration were produced by Jordan Moore, the impressive repaint set was produced by Kirk Sunley. A talented graphic artists recognized throughout the helicopter flight simulation community for his contributions.
