How to Get Started

If you have read through the other Introduction topics for our training program, then hopefully by now you are starting to get a good idea for how we accomplish training at Hovercontrol. If you are interested in participating in our training program, you might be wondering what steps need to be taken to get started. The following is a simple step-by-step list of what you need to do in order to get involved.

1. Own and install the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator

2. Configure the simulator using our Information Center for guideance.

3. Download and install the necessary Hovercontrol scenery packages

4. Download and install the Teampeak Voice Client software and FSInn Flight Server Client software. Visit our Information Center for guidance. Get these programs working as they should, and become familiar with how to fly in our online flight environment.

5. Read the information in the Student Pilot course, and pass the Student Pilot knowledge exam using the Testing Room.

6. Use the Instructor Scheduling Forum to work out a time to meet with an instructor, or speak with an available instructor on our teamspeak server to arrange a time to meet.

Once you have made contact with a particular Hovercontrol Instructor Pilot, you can coordinate your training activities with them, and they will be able to explain what your next steps would be. They will also be able to answer a wide variety of questions you might have remaining about our training program.
