Training Roadmap

The following certifications are available through the Hovercontrol Pilot Training Program. They are listed by the order in which they are earned. Each certification depends on the successful completion of all lower certifications. In addition, each certification requires the successful completion of its related requirements. The requirements for each certification are shown below.




To become a Student Pilot you must:
1. Become a registered member of Hovercontrol.
2. Understand the Student Pilot Course material.
3. Pass Student Pilot Knowledge Exam with at least 90% score.

Upon successful completion of the course, the Student Pilot ribbon will be displayed under your callsign on the member listing and forum posts. You will also have the priveleges necessary to begin scheduling time with instructors in the Instructor Scheduling forum.




To become a Certified Pilot you must:
1. Be a HC Student Pilot.
2. Have total control of the default Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter in VFR clear weather conditions.
3. Have read the Certified Pilot Course material and passed the Certified Pilot Knowledge Exam with at least a 90% score.
4. Schedule and pass the Certified Pilot Evaluation Checkride with a Hovercontrol Instructor Pilot.


Upon successful completion of the course Hovercontrol will award you the Certified Pilot ribbon which will be displayed under your callsign on the member listing and forum posts. Additionally, to mark this achievement, Hovercontrol will present you with a Certificate which can be downloaded and printed HERE.
