Hi,

I just bought CeraSim's AS365-N3 v1.0. I'm experiencing a rotor start up problem, I mean the engines are both running (from Auto startup procedure) but the rotor is not spinning.
Advisory panel says "DIFF Ng" alarm (sometimes Hyd1,2 alarms as well). Triple RPM tachometer needles (NR, NF1, NF2) are at zero. Also torquemeter is at zero. But engines are running as I can read engines temperatures.

I tried pressing on "ready to fly" or "cold and dark" from shift+1 panel, but without lucky..

I followed the checklist.. but maybe I missed something!
I also tried to press Ctrl+E after engines on: rotor's RPM went up (NR, but not NF1,2) but keeping at low reading. Only for two times I got rotor's RPM going up in the green part of the gauge and I was able to take off!!

Cerasim just suggested me to check the wind to be below 5kts.. but all my tests were done in "clear sky" weather profile, so no wind.

Thanks hor any suggestion/tips/helping!!

Check your systems failures, sounds like nose gear failure, make sure you check main landing gear failure too. Had same problem.

Thanks, I did it but without fixing the problem.

The only way to fly that I found is just turn one of the Eng starter on "FLT", leaving the other on idle position. In this way NR needle goes in the green part of tachometer (after pressing Ctrl+E that I shouldn't!) . If I turn "FLT" the other switch, the NR needle comes back and I cannot take off.

For sure is an abnormal condition that I would like fix.. but at least I can fly. In this flight condition I have NR gauge in green part of tachometer, but NF1/2 at zero! Torquemeter needles are at zero too!

What I am missing? I follow the checklist, but probably I miss something, by which turning both Eng1/2 on "FLT" the NR, NF1/2 needles do not go up!

Simple trick. Start with the default Trike anywhere of your choosing, switch to the Dauphin and everything will be up and running, just bring up the control panel and click ready to fly to activate power and the avionics.

NEWS!
It's weird.. but I changed "engine_type" in aircraft.cfg from 5 to 3.. And I got all gauges and rotor working as expected!

However.... I cannot stop the rotor now after shut down :D   but who cares at this point.. The important is I can fly this aircraft properly!  For sure the right "engine-type" value is 5 as the original was, but it's somewhat buggy in my FSX installation for some reason.

EDIT. Rotor stops as well,  after closing mixture (ctrl+shift+F1). So everything is ok!

I'm having the same issues as the original poster. Nothing is working. Followed the checklist to the letter and just tried ready to fly. No joy. Anybody ever have this issue and overcome it? Thanks for any help!

Hi welcome. Have you tried to load first a default Cessna, keeping it running, and then load as365? It seems help sometimes, looking in the web. Or did you try my solution that worked for me about change engine type value in aircraft.cfg?

Thanks for the answer! Turns out it was the default flight I had set up. I usually start with the default 172 in a cold and dark situation. Seems the Cerasim chopper didn't like that. I loaded the Cessna and started it up. Then switched to the Dauphin and all was well. Not perfect but hey it works. Thanks for the reply and help though. Appreciate very much!  :)

Yeah. Forums exist for that! What did you mean about not perfect but working?

Just that it's a bit of a nuisance to have to load the default 172, start it and then switch. Seems if the Dauphin was going to have cold and dark it should be as simple as just choosing it. However it doesn't detract from the great helicopter. :)
