Just purchased DODOSIM 206 FSX & Pro Flight Trainer Puma...going to
take to the sky with my new equipment...not happening.
Copter in training mode (1) Everything seems ok but Ctrl+E does nothing. All controls and key commands correct, I think. I get some clicking noises and background noise but it just sits there. I don't want to give up but run out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions?  :(

Hi Jim - sorry to hear you are having problems

99% of all our support requests turn out to be hardware conflicts.
First make sure you only have one axis assigned to any function and no duplicates on another controller (our software will read the zero from the duplicate and your collective, it doesn't work like normal aircraft).

Also check that your collective bottoms to zero correctly in the callibration dialogue.
(again, it won't hurt other aircraft but on ours a slightly raised collective will cause realistic drag on the blades and prevent your rpm spooling up high enough to make the engine self sustaining)

If that doesn't solve it -

What simulator are you using?

Did the aircraft load cold and dark or with engines running?

When exactly does the start hang?
(You can use difficulty setting 2 and press ctrl/e to walk you through the start up to give more clues)

Are their any warning lights at the end of the process?
Annunciator or small red light on the ToT gauge

Thank you for the quick response. I changed my collective and throttle assignments and everything seems to be working. The engine started and I managed to get into the air.
One question - I am in the training mode but the difficulty level in FSX is maxed out. Does the sim take precedence over FSX settings? Should I have the settings on Easy? TIA

I'm glad you are sorted.

Our difficulty settings are in addition to those in the sim. They work in combination.

It is fine to put the sim at max and our 206 at 1 or 2. It is a good start point.
You will basically get the default 206 with the startup and very little extra physics complication and nasty surprises  :D
