Been tossing around the idea of getting the Dodo for my P3D. I have many years ago gotten rid of FSX when I moved to P3D, which I love by the way. The problem I have is that apparently the Dodo 206 requires that you have FSX installed so that it can utilize the FSX 206 sound folder which I don't have anymore. I finally found an add on sound package for the FSX/P3D 206 sounds made by Sonic Solutions. https://www.fspilotshop.com/sonic-s....0h0tiq1

My question is, if I get this sound pack, will the Dodo 206 work with it? I hate to buy the sound pack, and also the Dodo 206 and find out I still have no sounds for the 206, which really makes it unflyable.

A separate all new P3d native version of the 206 will be released at the same time as the FSX Hi-def version and has new sounds.

It is  a big improvement all round but it also addresses the many  differences between P3d and FSX in handling and programming.
The two platforms have now diverged so much that different files are needed to get the results we are satisfied with.

It only uses some FSX 206 sounds for external views.  You could copy the FSX 206 into P3D and it'd find the sounds, or copy those sounds into the Dodo 206 sound folder and mod the relative paths in the sound.cfg.
