Hey guys and gals,
Well after watching Scotts Appliance Repair Helo tute on YT last night (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU89is4QlU8XOX_r4jUb9tA) I thought I wonder over an say "Hi" and hopefully start going through your training stuff so I can figure out how to fly these whirly birds :)

I mainly fly XPlane11 (with the incredibly sweet Bell 429 from timber) but I also have P3Dv4 but mainly fly old piston pounders and do things like the Bluegrass Can Am 2017 Rally.

Well just wanted to intro myself and hopefully I'll "see" some of you soon :)

P.S. I saw a post on here before about XP11 training ground being in NZ, one of the flights I want to do is a Helo tour around NZ so looking forward to training there as well.

Glad you liked the video, welcome to Hovercontrol!

Please spread the word, this place is a fantastic resource that's been well established for over a decade. I myself took my CP test in 2005... or 6... I was young then and not so forgetful.

After speaking with a couple of guys on Hovercontrol's Teamspeak (spread the word to use that too!), I was reminded that DAFSIM is another system that can be used by everyone and it has a LOT better system for flying together.

Apparently VATSIM is meant to focus on the ATC part of things and people only need to see each other at airports, so they weren't too worried about rubber banding and other such things when they designed it.

DAFSIM, on the other hand, was apparently designed with formation flying in mind; something much closer to what we would want when flying together.

I'm testing it out and will probably be updating my posts to reflect that change soon.

Again, welcome to Hovercontrol!

Tried to log into the HC multi area but my profile hasn't been transferred yet.

Downloaded and flew the NZHTG tonight =) fun, until I landed too heavily and busted my pretty 429.lol.
