hi everyone... errrr, I did a little video review about my new piece of hardware, but... this time as asked by a few on the german forums, I did it in german... now... if a few guys here show any interrest of understanding its content, I might patch the video with an english spoken version... as it takes time and it's for free, just wanna make sure I won't waste my time ^^

tia ;-)

in the meantime, here the video, german spoken...

Why would you post a link to a video no one can understand? ???

:D  I am just joking, there are many here who speak German, and although I have no plans for a joystick adventure, it seems that this video is really well produced, and I am sure very informative. Who knows, there may be a lot of guys who would see your video and become interested in buying/building a new joystick?

Like so many flight sim related projects, the main product takes X amount of time to produce, and for just a little bit more time, you can multiply the product. For example, you build a hangar and make it blue with white trim, and with a little more work make it white with blue trim, and there are now two hangars.

The problem with what you are asking is that many members come and go, and although someone may not respond right away to your query of whether anyone is interested in hearing the information discussed in the video in English, these threads are here forever (who knows about YouTube?) and someone may respond a week, a month, or a year from now with great interest.

Our beloved German speaking member Tommy has produced an epic thread on the design and building of his Bell 206 cockpit with hundreds of photos, and while his English is not perfect, I am a native English speaker, and my English is not perfect either. At any rate, I doubt Tommy was ever misunderstood, and it has been amazing, educational, and inspirational to watch his project come to fruition. Whether we all want to build a cockpit or not, who can say? But we all learned many valuable lessons on ingenuity and working out whatever problems come along, lessons we can apply to everyday life!

I felt like your video also discussed many issues that were educational, so perhaps an English dubbed version of the video would represent good practice for you both in English and video sound editing? ???

Thanks for your hard work!

Cheers
Gman

Hi blacky75,

Excellent work on the English version, it didn't take long!

I found the video very interesting.

Thanks again for your hard work, and for making it available to English speaking members.

Cheers
Gman

That was a very clear explanation (including the diagrams), acknowledging the resolution problem that exists for the helicopter cyclic controller and the normal off the shelf joystick. That should help immensely for those who think just extending the stick will bring more realism.

Thanks for taking the time.

Well, I purchased a C-Tek Cyclic and C-Tek Collective at the end of last year.

Due to a serious injury, I was only just able to finish it recently.

So I attached my C-Tek Cyclic and Collective last week. And was it good ... No Way!!!

Firstly the 'Idle Dent' button doesn't work on the Collective.

And whilst calibrating the Cyclic on it's very first use, the plastic shaft literally snapped in half.  No Metal, just cheap plastic for a part that requires good strength to last.

So I tried to contact C-Tek. No Response to multiple emails. So much for warranty.

So those interested in C-Tek products ... Buyer Beware!!!
